Chemistry

VCE  

“Heinemann Chemistry” by Elissa Huddart et al.: This comprehensive series covers the VCE Chemistry course thoroughly and includes practical investigations, examples, and practice questions to aid student learning. 

“Chemistry for VCE Units 1 & 2” and “Chemistry for VCE Units 3 & 4” by Roger & Maureen Slade: These two separate books cater to Units 1 & 2 and Units 3 & 4 of the VCE Chemistry syllabus, providing detailed content, practical activities, and exam-style questions. 

Nature of Chemistry series by Cengage Learning Australia: This series offers textbooks specifically designed for VCE Chemistry, providing content that aligns with the VCE curriculum along with relevant examples and practice exercises. 

Jacaranda Chemistry 1 VCE Units 1 and 2 Neale Taylor, Angela Stubbs, & Robert Stokes: These two textbooks cover Units 1 & 2 and Units 3 & 4 respectively, providing content, experiments, and practice questions tailored for the VCE Chemistry course.

Mathematics

“Mathematics Extension 1” by Robert Yen: This book provides comprehensive coverage of Extension 1 topics, including algebra, calculus, and functions, and is designed specifically for the HSC Extension 1 syllabus. 

“New Senior Mathematics Extension 2” by Pender et al.: This textbook covers Extension 2 mathematics topics in-depth, including further calculus, advanced algebra, and complex numbers, aligned with the HSC syllabus.

Cambridge Maths Stage 6 NSW Advanced Year 12 Paperback by William Pender, David Sadler, Derek Ward, Brian Dorofaeff et al.: Cambridge MATHS Stage 6 combines proven approaches to teaching and learning with innovative digital capabilities and complete syllabus coverage of the new Stage 6 courses to guide students to HSC success. A+ VCE Year 12 General Mathematics Study Notes by Christine McRae, Mark O’Connell: The new A+ VCE General Mathematics Study Notes resource provides comprehensive revision and exam preparation support to enhance the skills and confidence of students studying VCE General Mathematics (2023-2027). 

“Nelson VCE Specialist Mathematics” by Garner et al.: Specifically tailored for the VCE Specialist Mathematics course, this textbook covers advanced topics such as vectors, complex numbers, mechanics, and more. Every question is exam practice! 

“Maths Quest” series by Jacaranda: This series includes textbooks for Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. These books are known for their clear explanations, comprehensive examples, and a wide range of practice questions for students to reinforce their understanding. 

“ATAR Notes” series: ATAR Notes produces study guides and textbooks for various VCE subjects, including Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. These books often provide concise summaries of key concepts, practice questions, and exam-style questions. 

Biology

Biology in Focus: This textbook is tailored to the NSW Biology syllabus and covers all aspects of the syllabus with clear explanations, diagrams, and examples. It’s highly recommended for HSC Biology 1. 

Dot Point Biology series: This series is structured in a way that makes it easier for students to review and understand essential concepts. It provides concise yet comprehensive coverage of key points in the HSC Biology syllabus. 

Jacaranda Nature of Biology series: This series offers textbooks specifically designed for the NSW HSC Biology course. It includes detailed content, practice questions, and activities to reinforce understanding.
